Hello!  I'm Desiree Jamieson, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner based in Spokane Valley, Washington and I'm on a mission to bring the benefits of traditionally prepared, nutrient dense whole foods to as many people as I can. As your NTP I work with you to create a personalized nutrition plan that aims to meet your own individual  health and wellness goals.

My interest in nutrition started with a decline in my own vitality a few years ago. After trying many different approaches to reclaiming my health—and many failures, as well—I found my way to the ancestral wisdom of traditional foods.  By focusing on obtaining the nutrients my body needed to function optimally and by eliminating highly processed, industrialized foods I was finally able to improve the quality of my own life.

I soon enrolled in the Nutritional Therapy Association's Nutritional Therapy Practitioner program where I studied until the summer of 2015 when I became a certified holistic Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.  During the course of my studies I learned that there's no "one size fits all" approach to obtaining health. By utilizing a foundational approach and addressing the cause—not the expression—of poor health, I came to understand that we can bring about optimal health and wellness.

Because the quality of the food we eat is so important to overall health, I place an emphases on locally produced, sustainably raised whole foods.  These foods not only offer higher quantities and quality of the essential nutrients we need to thrive, but to also ensure the conservation of our land, water and air—because, that stuff is important, too!

My devotion to the philosophy of the NTA lead me to become a student mentor and I spend the year after graduation as a Group Leader working with the next generation of NTPs.  This year, I decided to delve even further into the study of human health and nutrition and went back to school to get my Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry.
